Dialysis
Hemodialysis runs three times a week, four hours at a time, and involves more than 50 monitorable parameters: blood flow rate, dialysate flow rate, ultrafiltration volume, blood pressure changes, transmembrane pressure. Paper records can't capture this dynamic data, let alone support quality analysis and treatment optimization across sessions.
The limits of paper records
Parameter changes during treatment are never fully captured, so retrospective review depends on what nursing staff happen to remember. Dialysis centers must also report quality indicators to regulators on a regular basis, and compiling them by hand is slow and labor-intensive.
A complete record of every treatment
DRIVE captures treatment parameters from the dialysis machine every minute and stores them electronically on the back-end. The system generates treatment summaries and quality indicator reports automatically, in line with national health insurance and international accreditation requirements.

Technical Advantages
Automated Quality Reports
Kt/V, URR and other indicators calculated automatically
Event Tagging
Hypotension, cramping and alarm events recorded automatically
Regulatory Compliance
Conforms to the standard data format of Taiwan's dialysis medical society
System Screens
From treatment monitoring and parameter records to quality analysis, a one-stop dialysis information platform

Large Language Model Integration
Automatic summaries of the many clinical documents in a dialysis center, easing the burden of record review
Nursing Note Summaries
Nursing notes from a single session or across sessions compiled quickly, highlighting patient responses, special interventions and family concerns.
Physician Note Summaries
Physician assessments across multiple outpatient visits or admissions summarized automatically, giving a fast read on the patient's long-term status and changes to the treatment plan.
Handover Summaries
Key events from each shift compiled automatically, so handovers and rounds sync on the current care priorities right away.
Deployed on-premises. Data never leaves the center.
The language model can be deployed privately on your dialysis center's own servers with no Internet connection. Patient data never leaves the center's network, eliminating leakage risk at the source and meeting data protection and healthcare regulatory requirements.
Flexible Deployment Options
Choose the integration path that fits your dialysis center's existing IT architecture
DRIVE Gateway + Your Existing Systems
Purchase DRIVE gateways only and consume the standard HL7 FHIR output in your center's existing dialysis information system, HIS or quality management platform. Keep your current workflows and reduce rollout cost.
Best for: dialysis centers with mature information systems
DRIVE Gateway + eMicro Software
A complete turnkey solution: gateways paired with eMicro's own dialysis information management system. Full treatment records, Kt/V quality reports and trend analysis out of the box.
Best for: dialysis centers that want a one-stop rollout
Configuration note: DRIVE gateways are deployed 1:1 with dialysis machines. One gateway per machine; plan quantities based on the number of dialysis stations in your center.
